I walked down to the parking structure
The end was close at hand
As I searched patiently my car was now in site

The next ten minutes would provide me
With something I would not understand
But that something would change my life

A sign jumped out; it looked at me
I stared it down and made up my own deduction
Of some illustrated rule

Some men claim to walk on water
But this man floats on top of his motorcycle
And I’m guessing that’s not cool

No hovering above motorcycles
That’s what the sign said to me
You can call me sarcastic
But I just don’t get it
Now tell me what in the world does it mean?

I ran that concept back through my head
And thought to myself that maybe instead
The crux is nothing more, it was in fact...

There’s no walking, there’s no riding
Or there’s no way you’ll be surviving
But that man kept his floating well intact

So I took a look around and grabbed some friends of mine; I dragged them down
Delivering the news I cracked a smile and bragged of what I’d found

They said you can’t be taking warning signs like this too lightly
I said it’s just a joke, what’s wrong with you, you must be crazy
My sanity is kept by welcoming absurdity
You can’t take that away from me

I left the scene; I wiped my mind clean
I jotted down four words that captured
The feeling that to this day sets me free

Some men walk with no denial
But this man chooses to float on his motorcycle
And that’s more than fine by me
